my list

ok - well you all inspired me to try a meal list so I posted one. I will let you know how it goes this week. I also would like to know more about freezing meals. I am thinking about freezing some meals ahead of time for us before I go back to work - to make the transition a little easier.

Yay! I'm sure Mallory will appreciate the effort and thought this week, no matter how many meals you end up doing!

And as for freezing... I often just make a double batch of a meal for dinner, and throw half into the freezer. Like if I make sloppy joes, we never use all the buns up, and they freeze nicely, and I just put half of the meat mixture into a freezer bag (after I cook it up) and throw it in the freezer.

If you do end up making stuffed shells, those are a great thing to freeze too.

Hey, that's a great idea about freezing the shells. It's the kind of thing that you can make more of really easily. I'll have to start thinking more along these lines, and that way I can have some stuff for Ken to pop in the oven when I'm not home.
What kind of container do you freeze them in?

Something like shells I would probably put into a disposable foil pan. I always have a bunch of sizes on hand. You can't thaw them in the microwave, but they're best for things with sauces. I guess you could us corningware too, but then you can't use them in the meantime.

I use a lot of freezer bags b/c they use less space. Plus, my hubby has two work places and I can never seem to get any of my tupperware back... I have bought more tupperware in the last six years than most people should in a lifetime.
